We walked into class and did the blog corrections. Then, Lena picked me. After that, we listened to the song, "A Change Is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke. The song was about how life can be challenging at times but, it can also be good. Then, the bell rang. We packed up and left.

HW: Have a restful weekend
The class started with Miles reading his blog and after he finished reading he picked my because I didn't do a third blog yet. Ms. Nakada checks reading journals and binder reminders for the week. Everybody started doing reader's workshop.
Alex, Ulises, and Roxy entered the classroom with a bunch of pizza boxes. The class phone gets called, and Ismael has to go home. Ms. Nakada announces that we get out our Chromebooks and do the week 3 quiz, but Noah got kicked out into the hallway to do his quiz for some reason. #FreeNoah. We start work on the A.C.E. for I.O.&.B.A. because we need to work on the essay. Ms. Nakada passed out two papers for us to read, but class ended before we could progress.

First, we started by reading the blog and do the corrections. After we did the corrections, we started class by doing reader's workshop and read for five minutes. After the timer went off, we started to open our notebooks, we talked about the I.O.&B.A. essay and the book. During that, we talked a little about the seeds from Titi and the seeds were a gift from Pem. Within all this, my phone goes off and interrupts the class, but we get back to work after that. We then started to do A.C.E. The bell rings, and we leave.

Homework RJ 3.3
We started the period with doing take a minute. Afterwards, Peter chose me to do the blog for no reason, and that is why he does not deserve a caught being good pass. We then did reader's workshop and we pulled our books out. While doing that, Larry talked about the book Ice Breaker, a very annoying subject between Roxy and Larry. Everyone put their books away as Ms. Nakada prepared the song of the week ''Immigrants: We Get the Job Done'' by K'naan, feat Residente Riz MC, and Snow Tha Product. We talk about what the song means and what the visuals in the music video mean. We finished talking about the song and everyone wrote down their favorite line in their notebooks. We then watch a women named Warsan Shire perform a poem called ''Home''. We write it down in our books and flip to a new page where we write Inside Out and Back Again essay. We wrote down a prompt saying to think about the title and how it relates to the refugee journey. Then the bell rang, we all put up our seats and were dismissed.

We walked into class and did our mindful minute while we wrote down our agendas. After that, Leah wasn't here, so I volunteered to do the blog. Then, we had a choice to either finish our iReady, do IXL, or silently read. After, we took out our notebooks and started to do our Q.Q.S.L. The quote was "We welcome refugees not because they are American, [...] but because we are American." By Krish O'Mara Vignarajah. The question was, "How should countries respond to those seeking asylum?" Then, we were about to start the song, but we had to leave, so we packed up and left.

We walked into class and sat down in our assigned seats. We all took out our binder reminders and wrote down the agenda, shortly after that Ms. Nakada called up Jayden to read out his blog, once Jayden finished reading his blog out loud he sat back in his seat and Ms. Nakada told him to pick somebody for the blog. He chose me after that, we started to read Dr. Kings inspirational speech called, " What Is Your Life's Blueprint? " once we finished doing that we talked about the speech for a little bit and then, we all started to work on our iReadys. After we, packed up and left.

We all came into the classroom as we took down the agenda on the board. Alex chose me for the blog as he did it yesterday, and also Friday, but his blog got deleted or something. We then took down the song of the week "We Shall Overcome" in our books. Ms. Nakada checked our reading journals, and then told us to pull out our computers to do i-Ready. The class did i-Ready for about twenty minutes after we finished, we packed up and left.

We walk into class, and we write down our agendas. After that, we took out our English notebooks and wrote down the Q.Q.S.L. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The question was: what does it mean to be an ally. Then, we flipped the page to the reading journal and wrote all three. Finally, we packed up and left.

Hello, everybody my name is Aaron and welcome back to... my third blog, apparently. We entered the classroom, got to our seats and sat down (average stuff). Everyone settled in by getting their binder reminders and filling them out. Ms. Nakada got the new students their seats, and William pointed out that Jerry wasn't here (how not Jerry of him). After he said that, Ms. Nakada (technically didn't) correct his blog as it was beautiful and perfect which is why we got a point (W Jerry ngl).

Ms. Nakada had us open our English notebooks and had us continue reading, but not before asking us if we finished part three. I thought Ms. Nakada forgot to pick someone, but then she asked who hadn't done their third blog. I raised my hand because obviously. It looked like everyone didn't have their hand raised when I think Emmett was the one to call me out. Following this, I went to the 'Blog Table' to do my blog (hi).
Few minutes later, the class discussed Part three of IO & BA. Ms. Nakada began to talk about Part four (I was not even finished with reading part 3333333333333) ((<--- this does not count to the number grammar thing😇)). She said if we finished the book... we'd have to do the iReady Middle of the Year Diagnostic. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
So anyway, you know how that went. The people did their average test things n' stuff. Some people finished, Some others didn't. Ms. Nakada had us pack our stuff and put the books at the pile at the aisle.
Bell rang. We left. O k a y.

We started off the day by writing down the agenda and having William read his blog. He called us losers, which was really mean, and he didn't know who Ulisses was. Then, we took out our notebooks and added the line of the week. We listened to Mary Oliver read her poem and listened to Ms. Nakada explain the poem.
Line: "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" from "The Summer Day" by Mary Oliver.
After that, we each got a copy of Inside Out & Back Again and started reading Part 3. It was the longest part so I didn't finish in class. At last when the bell rang, we packed up and left.

Before entering Ms. Nakada's class, she assigned us seats. After everyone sat down, we took a minute and then corrected Enrique's blog. Ms. Nakada gave us a spring syllabus and went over it with us. She told the class to give her our schedules so she could sign our papers. Then, we took out our journals to do Q.Q.S.L.

Today we walked into sixth period and sat down. We all took a minute to write down the agenda. After the minute, Landon went up and read the blog. After he read his blog, he chose me, which I saw coming. I walked up to the front of the classroom and sat down to start writing the blog. After I settled, we all took the week seventeen quiz. After the quiz, Ms. Nakada had us look at parent portal to see our grades and progress reports. We started working on our winter haikus in our English notebook. After that, we worked on our cursive alphabet in our notebooks, which was super confusing. After all of that, we all packed up, and left to enjoy our three week break.
