Happy Weekend!
'Sup fam, it's Emmett. I came to class while following Noah and Diana, and we went the long way, even though we made it to class on time. Not a very long route, Diana. We did our "take a minute," but it was extra long, because we were gonna listen to the full meditation. Chavez read his blog, and then he picked me (I'll get you back). I was one of the last people to do the blog. Lunden and Dani got mad at me for lying about doing the blog already so that they wouldn't pick me. I mean, in my defense it worked for a while.
Next, we started gluing this week's lines into our English Notebooks. We had a side conversation about Langston Hughes, who is this week's lines' author. We began to read the poem. It spread a good message about how all people are the same no matter what they look like or their age. Ms. Nakada told us that the part of the poem in italic would be on the quiz. I don't think it will be hard to forget that because everyone gasped. Very dramatic and I don't know why. It's really not that serious.
We started talking about nationality and how the term "colored" is outdated and you can say something else like "person of color." The poem got confusing for some people. Lena stood up and started a search warrant for her eraser because she couldn't find it :'( . The poem had a lot of rhymes even though there wasn't a specific rhyme scheme.
Anyways, it was cool to do the blog I guess. Class is ending, bye everyone...
ps im the light green one so yeah no one take that from me or i will find you...
