We started sixth period with Ms. Nakada telling us to start CreaTober. Then, Ashlyn came up to read her blog. After Ashlyn read her blog, she was about to choose Emmett, but I said Not It and she instantly chose me. I walked up to the desk to start my blog while Emmett begged to be chosen. Afterwards Ms. Nakada asked anybody if they wanted to show their CreaTober and Miles, Lena, and Roxy showed their art. After that, Ms. Nakada had everyone pull out their Outsiders books and get post it notes to annotate. We started going over chapter nine and what happened. As we were reading at the end of the chapter Johnny dies.
After that, we listen to the song of the week which is "Hawaii '78" by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole. Ms. Nakada asks us to write what we think the song is about and our favorite line in our notebook's. Then, we read the poem "Invisible Fish" by Joy Harjo. This poem is about human evolution and the bad things we do nowadays. Ms. Nakada then had us right about a new writing strategy similar to A.C.E. that is based on a traffic light. Mid way through everyone working on that the bell rang and everyone packed up.
