Larry's First Blog

The day started as per usual, we walked into the classroom and sat down to get ready for class. Ms. Nakada reminds us to get our binder reminders out and we do just that. We all got our binder reminders out and wrote down the agenda which was on the board.

Week 1: QQSL
Week 1 Quiz

HW: RJ 2.1 School Trip p. 76 - 99

After that, Ms. Nakada pulls up the blog, Shadow Money Wizard Gang. Ismael was chosen to write the blog this time; he then reads it to the class and picks the next student. The student was me, Larry. How sad (I'm so cool fyi). After Ismael finishes reading it, Ms. Nakada then asks the class to help with the corrections. During the corrections, Ms. Nakada was talking about how tired we look and how we're sleepy, but in our defense it is sixth period! Anyway, after we finish the corrections Ms. Nakada put the song of the week, "We Are Going to be Friends". Ms. Nakada asks the class about our opinions on the song and if we had a favorite lyric. Some people answered, and so did Ms. Nakada. It was something like "We don't notice how time flies by," something like that. To be honest with y'all, I wasn't paying attention much, but I still think it was a great lyric especially since it got some people to start talking which is always a good thing; usually. Ms. Nakada shows us the poem she passed out earlier, and she read it for us. I just realized I forgot to mention that earlier but I'm too lazy to put it in lol.

The poem was "Wild Geese" by Mary Oliver. Ms. Nakada tells us after some conversation, that we should love what we love, and to be ourselves. We continue to read the poem and annotate it and learn some more about the poem. Despair, its universal. We all experience it, and so is loneliness.  I wish I could put what Ms. Nakada was telling us but my memory is really bad, but I still think what Ms. Nakada told us was something very beautiful and had a really nice meaning to it. We have now finished the poem at this point, and we read it together as a class. Well, most of us did. She even points it out. We took a while to read the poem and run out of time to do the quiz. Hoorayyyyy!! It's the end of school. I hated this so much; jk.
