Read and Write a Poem
We walked in the classroom and got ready for class. William read his blog and then chose me. Ms. Nakada fixed the blog with the class, and we transitioned to reading a poem. We read "The Power of a Gun" by Tupac Shakur. Afterwards, we started writing our poems. We then read the poem "I'm Going Back to Minnesota Where Sadness Makes Sense" by Danez Smith. We then talked about it, and after, we got in to literature circles. Then, we packed up and left.
